My work reflects my love of order and balance. I like to work with multiples and series, often using collage, to create compositions.

I enjoy making a large variety of forms from which I select the right pieces for a composition. I then use coloured glazes, vitreous slips and transfers as unifying accents. Manganese rich, black firing clay provides a dramatic contrast. Whilst the wheel provides a very immediate way of working I am also drawn to porcelain and to tiles, each one a mini painting.

My compositions are wall, floor and plinth based.
