Philip Li is a young British-born Chinese artist and performer from Huddersfield, England. His art practice fuses ceramics, sculpture, fashion, music and performance into a unique-stylised vision. Li presents himself as both the sculptor and sculpture, and uses his body as tool and form of expression. Recurrent themes in his work include the construction and representation of the body, and its images of gender and sexual identity. Currently Artist-in-Residence at Vanguard Court he is working towards his first solo show under a new guise as Le Fil - to be held at Camberwell Space in Sept 2012.
